The part arrives new and matches the original 0N1Y6M component. Technicians can use it to restore keyboard lighting and palmrest integrity.

Fits exact chassis models only

Installation requires disassembly of the host laptop to access the keyboard deck and cable connectors. Questions about this item

Will the backlit keyboard on the Dell Latitude 5540 palmrest stay responsive during long typing sessions?

The integrated backlit keyboard is designed for continuous daily use and maintains consistent illumination and key response throughout extended work periods.

Does the Precision 3580 upper case run hot or draw extra power when the backlight is kept on all day?

The backlight circuit draws minimal current and adds no measurable heat to the palmrest surface, so temperatures and power consumption remain unchanged during all-day operation.
