Zebra TC21 TC26 protective kit

This two-piece kit pairs a slim hard shell with a detachable hand strap for the Zebra TC21 and TC26 mobile computer scanner. The combination is built for workers who need drop protection and a secure grip without adding bulk to a pocketable device.

Kickstand and strap flexibility

The case integrates a fold-out kickstand that lets the scanner stand upright on a desk for hands-free viewing. The hand strap threads through slots on the case and can be used with or without the shell, giving users a choice between tethered security and a slimmer profile.

Snap-on polycarbonate limits

The 1.5 mm rigid polycarbonate shell snaps over the back and leaves all buttons, ports and sensors exposed for full functionality. It is designed only for the TC21 and TC26 models, so it will not fit other Zebra handhelds or consumer phones.

Questions about this item

Will the kickstand hinge or the hand-strap attachment points wear out first?

The kickstand hinge is a moving part that snaps open and closed, so it will see more mechanical cycles than the fixed strap slots and is the likelier component to need replacement.

What stops the kickstand from holding the scanner upright during all-day desk use?

The kickstand locks into a single angled position; if that angle becomes unstable on a vibrating surface the scanner can tip, which is the practical limit for continuous hands-free viewing.

Does the polycarbonate shell trap heat when the TC21 or TC26 runs a full shift?

The 1.5 mm hard shell is thin and ventilated by port cut-outs, so it adds negligible thermal resistance and the device dissipates heat much as it would without a case.
