Holster combo for Sonim XP8

The Nakedcellphone Holcom delivers a hard-shell cover and a custom belt-clip holster built for the Sonim XP8 (XP8800). Workers who need one-handed access on a job site can snap the phone into the holster and keep the screen protected. Buyers who prefer a minimalist pocket case without any belt attachment will find the combo unnecessary.

Thermals noise and power

The rigid rubberized plastic shell adds no active cooling, generates no noise and draws no power from the device. Passive heat dissipation relies entirely on the phone’s own design, so sustained high-load tasks run at the same temperature as a bare handset.

Kickstand and holster features

A built-in kickstand on the case back lets the XP8 stand upright for hands-free viewing. The holster interior is lined with micro-fibre material and holds the phone face-inward to shield the screen from scratches. Its ratchet clip locks in 13 positions and keeps a slim profile against the waist.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the kickstand case to my Sonim XP8 so it locks into the belt clip holster?

Snap the hard polycarbonate shell onto the back of the phone; the cutouts align with every button and port, and the case then slides face-inward into the holster until the micro-fibre liner grips it securely.

What part of this combo will wear out first and need replacing?

The ratchet mechanism on the belt clip that locks in 13 positions can loosen over time, and the micro-fibre liner inside the holster may compress, reducing the face-in screen protection.

When does the kickstand become unstable during hands-free use?

The integrated stand relies on the case’s rigid rubberised plastic backbone; on slick surfaces or at steep viewing angles the single foot can slip before the phone tips over.
