An adhesive metal adapter is included so the ring can also be used with non-magnetic cases. The aluminium ring serves as both a one-hand grip and a kickstand for horizontal or vertical viewing.

MagSafe Magnetic Attachment Limits

The ring holds only through MagSafe-strength magnets, so connection strength depends on the phone or case having a matching circular magnet array. Thick or rugged cases without MagSafe magnets will not couple securely unless the supplied adhesive adapter is applied directly to the case exterior. The bond is designed for handheld use and light propping, not for high-vibration mounting.
