What it is and who it's for

The Nakedcellphone Ribbed Slim Case is a fitted hard shell cover made for the CAT S48c smartphone. It snaps onto the back of the device and adds a built-in kickstand for hands-free viewing. The cobalt blue finish uses a rubberized powder coating over rigid polycarbonate. Buyers who need a folio wallet, a ruggedized drop-rated enclosure, or a clear showcase case should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power

This accessory has no electronic components, so it generates no heat, draws no power and makes no sound. The polycarbonate shell does not impede the phone's own thermal management. The rubberized coating and ribbed texture remain stable in normal indoor and outdoor temperatures.

The deciding specification

The integrated kickstand folds flush into the back panel and locks into two positions for vertical or horizontal propping. This single feature lets the CAT S48c serve as a desk clock or media screen without a separate stand. If you do not need hands-free viewing angles, a simpler grip case will save the few millimetres of hinge thickness.

Questions about this item

How do I deploy the kickstand on this case without snapping the hinge?

Unsnap the hinge, then slide it downward until the kickstand clicks into the locked position for both vertical and horizontal viewing angles.

Will the rubberized powder coating wear smooth over time and reduce grip?

The ribbed weave pattern is moulded into the hard polycarbonate beneath the coating, so tactile grip remains even if the surface finish dulls with daily use.

At what point does the kickstand become unstable when the phone is propped horizontally?

The single-foot design relies on a flat surface; any tilt or soft material under the stand lets the handset tip over, so it only stays steady on a level desk or table.
