Protective Case for Equipment

The NANUK 940-1003 is a rigid orange case moulded from lightweight NK-7 resin. It measures 21.7 inches long, 16.9 inches wide and 8-1/2 inches deep overall, with interior dimensions of 20 by 14 by 8 inches. A water- and air-tight O-ring seal protects contents from dust and moisture. The case weighs 9.9 pounds and offers 1.29 cubic feet of volume.

Suits Transport of Sensitive Gear

Photographers, surveyors and field technicians who need a sealed enclosure for cameras, instruments or tools will find the foam interior and folding handle practical. Buyers who require wheels for heavy loads or a case certified as airline carry-on size should consider other options. The temperature rating spans -20 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit for extreme environments.

Fits Into Mobile Workflows

The folding handle allows one-handed carry while the flat lid and base stack securely in a vehicle or on a shelf. No wheels mean a lower profile that slides into tight compartments. The O-ring seal removes the need for separate waterproof bags, freeing interior space for additional equipment or accessories.

Questions about this item

What internal dimensions does the NANUK 940-1003 provide for storing my equipment?

The interior measures 20 in long, 14 in wide and 8 in deep, giving 1.29 cu ft of usable space.

Will the NK-7 resin shell withstand the same temperature extremes as my older aluminium flight cases?

The case is rated from -20 °F to 140 °F, so it matches or exceeds the range of most legacy metal cases.

How can I verify the water-tight seal is intact after closing the latches?

Press the lid down firmly; the O-ring gasket creates an air-tight seal that resists pressure changes when the latches are locked.
