Solo Backpacking Shelter

The Naturehike Cloud Up Pro is a one-person tent built for solo backpackers, cyclists and hikers who need a lightweight shelter. It weighs 3.57 lb and packs to 15.3 x 5.1 x 5.1 inches, fitting easily inside a rucksack alongside other essentials. The double-layer design uses 20D nylon with a PU4000mm+ coating and 7075 aluminum alloy poles for weather protection.

Waterproof Rating and Packed Volume

The flysheet carries a PU4000mm+ hydrostatic-head rating, so heavy rain is handled without leakage. Packed dimensions of 39 x 13 x 13 cm mean the tent occupies a fixed cylinder of space in your pack; compression sacks cannot reduce the pole length below 13 cm. The 8.5 mm pole diameter adds rigidity but prevents the frame from folding smaller than the stated pack size.

Site Dimensions and Groundsheet Check

The footprint covers 210 x 90 cm, so verify your campsite offers a clear, level rectangle at least that large before pitching. Inner area measures 1.89 sq m with a 0.45 sq m vestibule for gear storage. Ensure the ground is free of sharp stones that could abrade the 20D nylon floor despite the included footprint.

Questions about this item

Is the 3.57 lb weight the packed weight or the trail weight?

The 3.57 lb figure is the total packed weight including the footprint, poles, stakes and wind ropes, so expect that mass in your pack.

How much usable floor space does the 82.7 x 35.4 inch inner tent give a solo camper?

The inner tent provides 20.34 sq ft of floor area, enough for one person and gear while the vestibule adds 4.84 sq ft for boots or a pack.

What does the PU4000mm+ coating on the 20D nylon fly mean for real rain protection?

A PU4000mm+ rating means the fly can withstand heavy, sustained rain without leaking, and the silicone coating adds durability against UV and abrasion.
