Semi-rectangular sleeping bag for solo backpackers

This Naturehike down sleeping bag uses 650 fill-power duck down with RDS certification and a 400T 20D ripstop nylon shell. The semi-rectangular shape combines a mummy-style hood with a rectangular foot box for one adult. Comfort temperature is rated at 40.4°F (4.7°C) for three-season use. Weight is 0.998 kg (910 g) and packed size is 13.8 x 7.1 inches.

Compression sack and storage bag reduce pack volume

The included compression sack shrinks the bag to 13.8 x 7.1 inches, saving space and weight in a backpack. A separate storage bag is supplied for loose storage at home, which helps maintain down loft over time. YKK zippers close the bag securely. No extra liners, pillows or repair kits are mentioned in the specifications.

Simple setup with attention to zipper alignment

Unstuff the bag from the compression sack and shake it to restore loft before use. The YKK zipper runs the length of the bag; align the teeth carefully to avoid snagging the lightweight nylon fabric. The semi-rectangular cut fits users up to 7.22 feet tall. Buyers who need a lower comfort rating for colder nights or a double-width bag for two people should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the 650FP down lose loft over time and need re-fluffing?

The 650 fill-power duck down is RDS certified and selected for no odor or impurities; regular airing and storage uncompressed in the included storage bag helps maintain loft.

At what temperature does the 40.4°F comfort rating stop keeping me warm?

The comfort rating is 40.4°F (4.7°C); below that temperature the bag's insulation limit is reached and you will feel cold.

Does the 20D ripstop nylon shell trap heat or moisture during all-night use?

The 400T 20D ripstop nylon is waterproof and windproof yet breathable, and the semi-rectangular shape lets you vent the foot area to manage heat and moisture.
