Whale Tail Wall Hooks

Four cast-aluminium whale-tail hooks arrive in a polished finish, each measuring 7.5 inches long and weighing 12 ounces. The curved tails project about three inches from the wall once mounted, offering a distinctive nautical accent for bathrooms, kitchens or mudrooms.

Thermals, Noise and Power

As passive metal hardware the hooks generate no heat, produce no sound and draw no electricity in normal use. They simply support towels, coats or tools without any operating cost or environmental impact.

Included Hardware

Mounting screws and anchors are not supplied, so installers must provide their own fixings suited to the wall material. The ultra-polished aluminium surface resists corrosion and cleans easily with a damp cloth.

Questions about this item

How do I install the four cast-aluminum whale tail hooks and what step is often missed?

Each hook mounts with screws or anchors chosen for your wall type; the step many skip is pre-drilling pilot holes so the heavy 12 oz castings seat flush without cracking the surface.

What maintenance will the ultra-polished aluminum finish need over time?

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that can dull the polished surface, especially in salty or humid beach-shower environments.

At what load does the 3-inch projection from the wall become the limiting factor?

The 3-inch stand-off creates leverage, so very heavy wet towels or coats can flex the mount; keep individual loads moderate and use sturdy wall anchors to prevent the hooks from pulling away.
