Portable TV with Built-in Battery

The Naxa NT-90 is a 9-inch portable TV and multimedia player with an ATSC/NTSC tuner for over-the-air broadcasts. It includes an external antenna for improved reception and built-in stereo speakers. The rechargeable battery delivers 1.5 hours of playback away from mains power.

Replaces Separate TV and Media Players

This unit combines a television tuner and a digital media player in one device, removing the need for a standalone DVD player or streaming stick for local files. The jump is worth it when you want live TV and USB or SD card playback in a single battery-powered package for travel or kitchen use.

Limited by 800x480 Screen and 1.5 Hour Battery

The 800x480 resolution caps detail on the 9-inch TFT LCD, so high-definition broadcasts and 264 files are downscaled. Battery life is fixed at 1.5 hours, so extended viewing away from AC or DC car power is not possible. The two A/V inputs and 3.5 mm jack only accept analogue sources.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 9 inch TFT LCD need around the vents?

The unit is a compact portable TV with built-in stereo speakers and a 9 inch screen; leave a few centimetres on each side so the vents stay unobstructed during use.

What is the step people miss when they first run the ATSC NTSC tuner?

Connect the external antenna, select the correct source, then run a full channel scan before assuming the tuner is faulty.

When should the rechargeable battery be replaced if run time drops below 1.5 hours?

The built-in battery is rated for 1.5 hours of play time; when a full charge no longer delivers that duration, the pack needs replacement.
