In-counter hybrid imaging scanner

The NCR RealScan 84 7895-3111-1000 is a bi-optic scanner and scale designed for in-counter installation. It combines hybrid imaging and laser technology to read 1D, 2D and mobile barcodes. The unit supports flexible vertical or horizontal mounting configurations. A colour LED scan advisor and Scan Doctor spoken voice diagnostics provide real-time operator feedback.

High-volume retail lanes needing integrated weighing

This device suits checkout lanes that require a single-window scanner with an integrated scale certified for US trade use. It is not suited for handheld scanning tasks or mobile point-of-sale operations. Environments without a scale requirement or those needing a purely handheld form factor should consider a different device class.

Scale option and diagnostic tools change daily

The single-window scale option adds weight capture without a separate peripheral, reducing counter clutter. PACESETTER decoding works with the hybrid engine to maintain read rates on damaged or truncated codes. Adjustable audio volume and pitch let operators hear alerts in noisy environments. Spoken diagnostics cut troubleshooting time by guiding staff through common faults.
