Professional 16-Line IP Phone

The NEC ITR 16D-1 is a professional IP display phone built for NEC business systems. It provides 16 programmable line keys with dual-colour LED indicators for clear call status. The three-line LCD shows 24 characters per line with adjustable tilt and contrast. Offices needing a reliable desk or wall-mountable handset will find it fits standard workstation setups.

Bundled LCD, Speakerphone and Headset Jack

The integrated full-duplex speakerphone enables hands-free conversations without extra hardware. A built-in headset jack allows professional headset use for private calls. Independent volume controls for handset, speaker, ringer and headset let users set levels per audio path. Four context-sensitive soft keys and 11 dedicated function keys streamline common tasks such as transfer, conference and directory access.

Capacity for Multi-Line Environments

Sixteen programmable lines handle moderate to high call volumes typical of busy offices. Compatibility covers NEC NEAX 2000 IVS-2, IPS, 2400 IPX, Univerge SV7000 and MPS PBX systems. Buyers whose infrastructure uses non-NEC platforms or who require more than 16 simultaneous lines will need a different solution. The phone draws power from the supported NEC system, so a separate power supply is not required.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 programmable line keys or the LCD display need replacement after heavy daily use?

The 16 programmable line keys use 2-color LED indicators and the 3-line LCD has adjustable contrast; both are solid-state with no user-serviceable parts, so routine cleaning is the only maintenance expected.

What limit appears first when the phone runs on a long conference call using the full-duplex speakerphone?

The 16-line capacity and 11 dedicated function keys set the feature ceiling; audio quality stays consistent because the speakerphone and handset have independent volume controls.

How much heat or fan noise does the desk-mounted unit produce when powered all day on the NEC NEAX 2000 IVS-2 system?

The phone has no internal fan and draws power through the system line, so it runs silently with only slight warmth at the base during continuous operation.
