NEEWER TP-F970 7800mAh 2-Pack Overview

This NEEWER TP-F970 set includes two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.2V 7800mAh 56.16Wh. They replace Sony NP-F series cells and power compatible cameras, camcorders, LED panels, ring lights and field monitors. Each pack ships with two USB Type-C to Type-C cables for convenient charging.

Suits NP-F Gear Owners Seeking USB-C Recharge

Videographers using Sony NP-F550, NP-F570, NP-F750, NP-F770, NP-F960, NP-F970 or NP-F975 batteries gain a 20W PD fast-charge option via the bidirectional USB-C port. The USB-A output adds 5V charging for phones or tablets. Buyers needing V-mount or Gold-mount power, or those requiring hot-swap plates, should look at dedicated block-battery systems instead.

7800mAh Capacity with 2.5-Hour PD Top-Up

At 56.16Wh each, the pair comfortably runs a typical LED panel or monitor for extended shoots and reaches full charge in 2.5 hours using the included cable and a 30W PD source. Four-step LED indicators show 100, 75, 50 and 25 percent levels. Runtime drops on high-draw lights above 65W, and the single USB-C port cannot charge the battery while simultaneously powering a device.

Questions about this item

Do I need a PD-capable USB-C charger to reach the 20 W fast-charge speed?

Yes, a USB-C charger that supports Power Delivery is required to achieve the 20 W fast-charge rate and the 2.5-hour full charge time.

Will these batteries power my Sony NP-F550 camcorder and NEEWER LED light simultaneously?

Each battery fits devices that accept NP-F series packs, so they work with the NP-F550 camcorder and NEEWER LED panels, but one battery powers one device at a time.

How do I confirm the battery is charging at the full 20 W rate after I plug it in?

Press the CHECK button; the four LEDs will show 25 %, 50 %, 75 % or 100 % to indicate the current charge level while charging.
