Product Identity

The Nelko PL70e-BT is a new thermal label printer designed for small businesses and online sellers who need to produce 4x6 shipping labels without ink or toner. It connects via Bluetooth to iOS and Android devices through the NELKO app, and via USB to Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS computers.

Deciding Specification

The printer uses direct thermal technology at 203 DPI and accepts label widths from 1.54 to 4.1 inches, with a maximum media size of 4x6 inches. It prints at 150 mm/s, delivering up to 72 labels per minute, and holds a roll capacity of 500 sheets.

Installation Reality

Setup requires downloading the NELKO app and pairing the printer over Bluetooth for mobile use, while Mac OS users must use the USB cable as Bluetooth printing is not supported on that platform. The unit features auto detection, auto paper return, and an intelligent self-test to simplify calibration, though all devices must print through the app rather than connecting directly to the system print dialog.

Questions about this item

What does 72 labels per minute mean for daily shipping volume?

The printer can produce up to 72 four-by-six labels each minute, so a batch of 500 labels finishes in roughly seven minutes.

How does the Bluetooth connection work with Windows and Mac computers?

Windows 7 or later can print via Bluetooth through the NELKO app; Mac computers with M1 or M2 chips must use the USB cable because macOS does not support Bluetooth printing on this model.

What label widths and roll sizes fit inside the printer?

The printer accepts label widths from 1.54 in to 4.1 in and holds rolls up to 5 in diameter, covering 4x6, 3x2, 3x1 and 2x1 formats.
