Eight-port PoE+ switch for small networks

This eight-port Gigabit switch delivers up to 62 W of PoE+ power for wireless access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones. Smart management features include VLAN support and jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes. The desktop or wall-mountable metal enclosure fits tight spaces without a rack.

Check cabling and power budget before ordering

Verify that existing twisted-pair runs meet 10/100/1000Base-T requirements for full Gigabit speed. Confirm the combined draw of all PoE devices stays within the 62 W budget. Ensure a nearby mains outlet is available for the switch's own 6 W supply.

Fanless design runs silent with low heat

The unit consumes only 6 W for its own operation, so thermal output is minimal in normal use. No internal fan means completely silent performance in offices or homes. Passive cooling handles the PoE load without additional airflow requirements.

Questions about this item

Does the GS108EP-100NAS include mounting brackets or must they be purchased separately?

The switch has a desktop and wall-mountable enclosure; mounting hardware is integrated into the chassis so no separate bracket kit is required.

Should I choose this 8-port model or a larger switch for a 62 W PoE+ budget?

This unit provides eight PoE+ ports sharing a 62 W total budget; select it when eight powered devices fit within that limit, otherwise a higher-port-count model with a larger budget is needed.

What does the 9216-byte jumbo-frame figure mean for everyday traffic?

It allows Ethernet frames up to 9216 bytes, reducing CPU overhead for large file transfers and backup streams when both endpoints and cabling support the setting.
