Netgear Inc. GS748PP-100NAS 48-port Gigabit unmanaged PoE+ network switch

48-port Gigabit PoE+ unmanaged switch

The GS748PP-100NAS provides forty-eight RJ-45 ports that each negotiate at ten, one hundred or one thousand megabits per second. Every port delivers PoE+ power for access points, cameras or VoIP phones without extra injectors. The metal chassis fits a standard rack or sits on a desktop. No configuration software is required.

380 W PoE budget

The single figure that decides fit is the three hundred and eighty watt PoE budget shared across all forty-eight ports. Add the draw of every powered device; if the total stays below that limit the switch powers them all, otherwise some ports will remain unpowered.

410 W consumption, fan-cooled enclosure

Under full load the unit draws four hundred and ten watts from the mains. Internal fans move air through the enclosed chassis to keep component temperatures stable. Acoustic output rises with total PoE load but remains within typical office background levels.
