It provides twelve multi-gigabit RJ45 ports and two SFP+ uplink ports for integrators and installers who need deterministic switching in a compact form factor. The unit supports reversed or recessed mounting to suit rack or desktop placement.

Practical Limits of 2.5G and SFP+

The twelve RJ45 ports negotiate at 100M, 1G or 2.5G speeds, while the two SFP+ cages accept 1G or 10G transceivers for fiber uplinks. Jumbo frames up to 12KB are supported and the MAC address table holds 16K entries. Fan modes are selectable for fanless, quiet or cool operation, but the switch does not supply PoE power to connected endpoints.

License Requirement for AVB

AVB functionality requires the separate AVB4214X-10000S license, which is not included with the hardware. Without that license the switch operates as a standard managed Layer 2 device with IGMP Plus and the pre-loaded AV profiles for Dante, Q-SYS, NDI and other protocols. Buyers needing native AVB transport must budget for the additional license.
