The Netgear ProSafe M4300-24X provides 24 RJ45 ports running at 10GBASE-T plus four shared SFP+ ports for 10GBASE-X fibre uplinks. A 480 Gbps non-blocking fabric across 24 ports keeps wire-speed throughput on every active link. Layer 4 management and an out-of-band 1G Ethernet management port give administrators full control without touching the data plane. It targets network teams building high-density 10G access layers in rack environments.

32 MB buffer and 480 Gbps fabric headroom

The 32 MB packet buffer absorbs burst traffic from multiple 10G endpoints simultaneously. The 480 Gbps non-blocking fabric sustains line-rate forwarding across all 24 RJ45 ports plus uplinks without oversubscription. Shared SFP+ ports trade fibre uplinks for copper density when all 24 RJ45 ports are populated. Operating temperature tops out at 50 °C, so sustained full-load deployments need adequate rack airflow.

No PoE support

This model delivers data only and does not supply Power over Ethernet to attached devices. Buyers who need to power wireless access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones from the switch must select a PoE-enabled variant.
