Outdoor PoE+ switch for IP cameras

The POE-F042FO is a six-port 10/100 Mbps Ethernet switch built for outdoor surveillance. Four ports deliver IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ power while two uplink ports connect to routers or NVRs. The unmanaged design requires no configuration and works with both PoE and non-PoE devices.

Fanless silent operation with 78 W budget

A sealed IP66-rated ABS and PC enclosure protects the internal power supply from water, dust and snow. The fanless chassis runs silently and handles the full 78 W PoE budget across the four powered ports, each limited to 30 W. Operating temperatures and vibration tolerance meet industrial requirements for exposed locations.

Pole or wall mount with 250 m reach

Mounting brackets on the rear support pole and wall installation without extra hardware. An extension toggle activates long-range transmission up to 250 m on the PoE ports, while a second toggle enables port isolation to prevent broadcast storms. Jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes pass through all six ports.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the POE-F042FO and which step is often missed?

Use the included brackets for pole or wall mounting; the step often missed is toggling the extension switch on the chassis to enable 250 m long-range PoE on ports 1–4.

What maintenance will the POE-F042FO need over time?

The fanless, sealed IP66 chassis has no filters or moving parts; occasional visual checks of cable glands and vent surfaces are the only upkeep required.

What is the first limit reached when all four PoE+ ports run at 30 W continuously?

The 78 W total power budget is reached first, so sustained full-load operation on every port simultaneously will exceed the switch’s capacity.
