Replacement Screen Material 48 in Wide 25 ft Roll

This aluminium wire fabric comes in a 48 in wide by 25 ft long roll with an 18 x 16 mesh count and .011 in wire diameter. The charcoal colour reduces glare while maintaining outward visibility. It suits homeowners replacing damaged door or window screens.

Aluminium Mesh Resists Corrosion and Heat

The metal construction does not melt or shrink under direct sunlight the way vinyl can. Airflow passes freely through the 18 x 16 openings without audible whistle in normal breezes. No power is required and the material adds negligible weight to existing frames.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 48 in wide aluminum screen material, and what step is often missed?

Unroll the 25 ft length, cut to the frame size, then press the spline into the groove using a roller; the step often missed is keeping the 18 x 16 mesh square so the weave does not skew.

What maintenance or replacement will the .011 in diameter aluminum wire need later?

The charcoal aluminum wire resists rust but can dent; plan to re-screen if holes appear or the 18 x 16 mesh stretches after several seasons of use.
