Charcoal Aluminum Screen for Window and Door Repair

This charcoal aluminum screen measures 36 inches wide by 7 feet long with an 18x16 mesh count and .011 inch wire diameter. It suits homeowners replacing damaged window or door screens. The medium mesh balances airflow and insect protection for standard residential openings.

Simple Cut-to-Fit Installation with Basic Tools

Installation requires only a utility knife, spline roller and replacement spline to press the fabric into existing frames. The lightweight aluminum cuts cleanly but creases permanently if bent sharply during handling. Cutting the mesh oversize prevents gaps, while excessive stretching tears the .011 wire. Buyers needing pet-resistant or solar-screening performance should choose a different material.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the mesh count is 18 by 16 after I install the screen?

Count the openings across one linear inch of the installed screen; you should find 18 in one direction and 16 in the other, confirming the specified 18x16 mesh.

Does the roll include spline or a frame, or must I buy them separately?

The roll contains only the 36-inch by 7-foot charcoal aluminum screen material with .011 wire; spline and frame components are not included and must be purchased separately.
