Aluminium screen roll 30 in 100 ft

The charcoal aluminium screen roll measures thirty inches wide by one hundred feet long and uses a wire diameter of 0.011 inches with an 18 by 16 mesh count. It is intended for replacing or fabricating door and window screens in residential or light-commercial openings. Builders and homeowners who need a medium-mesh aluminium fabric for insect protection will find the dimensions suit standard frame sizes. The roll format allows custom cuts for multiple openings without seams.

Medium mesh limits airflow and smallest insects

The 18 by 16 mesh provides a medium opening size that blocks common flies and mosquitoes while still permitting air movement. It will not stop very small insects such as no-see-ums or fine pollen particles. The aluminium wire resists corrosion but can dent or crease if handled roughly during installation. The material is not designed for structural reinforcement or security applications.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 18 x 16 mesh or a different mesh count for this 30-inch aluminum screen?

This roll is supplied only in an 18 x 16 mesh count, which is classed as a medium mesh. It balances airflow and insect protection for standard door and window openings.

What does the 0.011 in wire diameter mean for durability once the screen is installed?

The 0.011 in aluminum wire resists sagging and holds its shape in 30-inch wide frames, giving a rigid surface that withstands repeated handling and seasonal weather exposure.
