Compact 60% Layout

The Newmen GM681 is a 60 percent mechanical keyboard with a 68-key arrangement that includes dedicated arrow and function keys. It connects through a wired USB interface and is powered entirely by the cable. The compact footprint saves desk space and leaves more room for mouse movement, making it suitable for gaming, office work and travel.

USB Wired Connection

The keyboard draws power directly from the USB link, so no batteries or separate power supply are required. Driver software is available from the manufacturer’s website and lets you remap every key, adjust the lighting effects and create macros. This software layer frees you from fixed hardware functions and adapts the board to different workflows.

19 Backlight Modes

Nineteen rainbow LED effects are built in, with controls for brightness, speed and direction plus a one-click on/off toggle. The linear red switches deliver a smooth, quiet keystroke without tactile bump, which suits fast typing and rapid in-game inputs. The board covers essential typing and gaming needs, while users who require a numpad, dedicated media keys or wireless freedom will need a different form factor.

Questions about this item

What is the 60 % layout limit for arrow keys on this keyboard?

Separate arrow keys and FN keys are included so the 68-key design keeps full navigation without a dedicated cluster.

How does the USB power source affect heat or noise during all-day use?

Corded electric power means no battery heat and the linear red switches stay quiet even after hours of typing.

Which operating systems must the host already support for the driver software to work?

The customization software runs on Windows and Mac, so the host needs a USB port and one of those systems.
