Exact Replacement Part

The NEXGRILL flame tamer carries part number 120870002307 and is supplied new as a direct replacement component. It fits the 860-0003 grill and two 720 1008 model variants. Owners of those three models can restore original heat distribution without modification.

Sustained Heat Management

Under continuous grilling the steel tamer spreads burner output evenly across the cooking surface. It shields the burner from drippings that cause flare-ups and maintains consistent temperature during long sessions. The part performs the same thermal role as the factory original throughout the cook.

Upgrade From Worn Originals

This part replaces a corroded, warped or missing factory tamer that no longer protects the burner or spreads heat uniformly. The jump is worth it when hot spots appear, flare-ups increase or the original piece has fallen through the grill frame. Buyers needing a different part number or a complete burner assembly will not be served by this item.

Questions about this item

Does the flame tamer itself produce any noise or heat during long grill sessions?

The part is a passive metal shield; it generates no noise and only absorbs heat from the burners.

What existing grill components must I already have for this flame tamer to install correctly?

It fits Nexgrill models 860-0003, 720-1008 and 720 1008, so one of those grills must be in place.

Will this flame tamer work properly if I keep the original burners and cooking grates from my older Nexgrill?

Yes, it is designed to sit above the existing burners and below the current grates on the listed models.
