45° Copper Elbow for 4 in Tubing
This wrot copper fitting joins two 4 in copper tubes at a 45 degree angle using cup connections on both ends. It is rated for air, gases and potable water systems. The fitting handles a maximum operating pressure of 293 psi at 100 degrees F and a maximum temperature of 400 degrees F.
Sweating the Joint
Clean the tube ends and fitting cups thoroughly before applying flux. Heat the joint evenly so solder flows by capillary action into both cups. Uneven heating or insufficient flux are the most common causes of leaks or voids in the connection.
Pressure and Temperature Limits
The 293 psi pressure rating applies at 100 degrees F; allowable pressure decreases as temperature rises toward the 400 degree F maximum. The fitting is not rated for service above that temperature or for pressures exceeding the stated limit at the corresponding temperature.

Questions about this item
How can I confirm the 45-degree elbow is seated correctly after soldering?
Apply heat evenly around the cup until solder flows into the joint; a continuous silver ring at both 4-inch copper tube connections shows the 45-degree elbow is sealed.
What comes with the 606 elbow and what must I supply?
The box contains the single wrot copper 45-degree elbow; you must provide 4-inch copper tube, flux, lead-free solder, and a propane or MAPP torch for the sweat connections.
Which version of the 606 elbow should I choose for a 4-inch copper line?
Select the 606 model with 4-inch cup-by-copper-tube-size ends; it matches 4 1/8-inch tube OD and is rated for 293 psi at 100°F and 400°F maximum operating temperature.
