- Withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 400 °F
Copper 90 Degree Long Radius Elbow
This wrought copper sweat fitting joins two 1-1/4 inch copper tubes at a right angle. It is designed for plumbing systems carrying potable water, air or gases. The long radius bend promotes smoother flow and reduces turbulence compared to short radius alternatives. It is supplied new and ready for solder installation.
Sweat connection on both ends
Both ends feature a fitting (FTG) connection type sized for 1-1/4 inch copper tube with a 1-3/8 inch outer diameter. This means each end slips inside a standard copper coupling or another fitting rather than over the tube. The installer must solder both joints to create a permanent, leak-free seal in the line.
Rated for 351 psi at 200 °F
The fitting withstands a maximum operating pressure of 351 psi at 200 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This headroom covers typical residential and commercial hot water heating and supply lines. It is not suited for steam lines or high-pressure hydraulic systems that exceed these limits.

Questions about this item
Will the wrot copper material need replacement due to corrosion in potable water systems?
Wrot copper resists corrosion in potable water, so the fitting itself does not require scheduled replacement under normal conditions.
At what pressure does the 90-degree long radius elbow reach its sustained-use limit?
The maximum operating pressure is 351 psi at 200 degrees F, which is the limit before the joint may be compromised.
How much heat does the copper elbow radiate when hot water circulates continuously?
Copper conducts heat efficiently; the fitting will reach the water temperature up to 400 degrees F and radiate accordingly.
