Reducing Tee for Copper Pipework
This NIBCO 611R reducing tee joins three copper tubes in a sweat fitting configuration. The branch reduces from a 3 inch main run to a 1 1/4 inch outlet. All three connections use cup ends for soldering. The body is made from wrot copper for potable water applications.
Sweat Connection Changes Installation Method
The cup connections on every port require soldering rather than threading or pressing. This means the installer must clean, flux and heat each joint to form a permanent seal. No additional gaskets, rings or mechanical fasteners are supplied or needed for the joint itself.
Suits Plumbers Running 3 Inch Mains
It fits systems where a 3 inch copper line needs a 1 1/4 inch take-off. Installers who need press-fit, push-fit or threaded connections should look at other fitting types. Anyone working with tube sizes outside the stated dimensions cannot use this tee.

Questions about this item
Will the sweat joints on this reducing tee need re-soldering later?
Properly soldered copper sweat joints are permanent and do not require re-soldering under normal conditions.
What pressure limit appears first during continuous potable water flow?
The fitting follows standard copper tube pressure ratings; the system design determines the limiting pressure.
Does the copper body get hot or make noise when water runs all day?
Copper conducts heat so the tee will match water temperature; it produces no mechanical noise.
