Copper Reducing Tee 2-1/2" x 2" x 2-1/2
This Nibco wrot-copper sweat fitting joins three copper tubes in a reducing tee configuration. The run ports accept 2-1/2 inch tube (2-5/8 inch OD) while the branch port accepts 2 inch tube (2-1/8 inch OD). All connections are cup-type for soldered joints in potable water systems.
For installers joining unequal copper lines
It suits plumbers and contractors who need a sweat-fitted reducing tee for copper pipe. It is not for buyers who require threaded, press-fit or push-to-connect ends. It is not for systems that specify a different branch size or a non-copper fitting material.
Reducing branch 2 inch on 2-1/2 inch run
The defining specification is the reducing branch: the tee reduces from a 2-1/2 inch run to a 2 inch branch while keeping copper cup connections throughout. This single geometry determines whether the fitting matches the piping layout.

Questions about this item
Will the 2-1/2 inch ends of this tee connect to the 2-1/2 inch copper pipe already in my system?
Yes, the 2-1/2 inch copper tube size ends match 2-1/2 inch nominal pipe, and the 2-5/8 inch outer diameter matches standard 2-1/2 inch copper tubing.
How can I confirm the sweat joints on this reducing tee are properly sealed after soldering?
Pressurise the line with water and inspect each cup connection for leaks; a sound sweat joint shows no seepage at the 2-1/2 inch and 2 inch interfaces.
Does the box include solder, flux or the 2 inch copper pipe for the centre branch?
The box contains only the wrot copper reducing tee; solder, flux and any 2 inch or 2-1/2 inch pipe must be purchased separately.
