- Solder-joint ends create permanent leak-free connections
- Meets ASME B 16.18 standard for copper fittings
Reducing tee for copper pipework
This cast-bronze tee joins two half-inch copper tubes with a three-quarter-inch female pipe thread branch. It is intended for soldered installations in residential and light-commercial plumbing systems where a reduction in branch size is required. The fitting meets ASME B 16.18 dimensional standards.
Pressure and temperature envelope
Rated to four hundred sixty-six psi at two hundred degrees Fahrenheit, the fitting handles typical hot-water and hydronic heating pressures. The service range extends from minus twenty to four hundred degrees Fahrenheit, covering chilled-water lines through high-temperature heating loops. Operation beyond these limits is not supported by the standard.
Three-quarter-inch female thread branch
The single specification that decides fit is the three-quarter-inch FNPT outlet on the branch. Installers needing a half-inch branch or a male-threaded outlet must select a different fitting.
