Questions about this item

Should I choose the sweat-joint or the male-threaded end for my 1-1/2" copper line?

The adapter has one male NPT thread and one sweat joint, both sized for 1-1/2" copper tube, so it connects a threaded fitting to a soldered joint in a single piece.

What does the 5 psi pressure rating mean when the adapter is installed?

The assembly is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 5 psi, limiting it to low-pressure air or water lines.

Which standard governs the threads and what does it cap in practice?

ASME B16.29 defines the wrought-copper fitting dimensions, ensuring the male NPT threads and sweat joint match 1-1/2" copper tube specifications.
