Copper Cap Fitting
The Nibco C617 is a 2-inch nominal copper cap designed to terminate a copper drain line in residential or light-commercial plumbing systems. It provides a permanent or serviceable closure for pipe ends during rough-in, remodel or repair work.
Sweat-Joint Installation
The fitting is made from copper alloy for corrosion resistance and long service life in potable and non-potable water applications. A sweat-solder joint creates a rigid, leak-free seal that withstands thermal cycling and mechanical vibration without the need for threaded adapters.
Passive Thermal Performance
Copper construction conducts heat evenly across the joint during soldering and distributes system temperature changes in service. The solid cap adds no moving parts, generates no noise and imposes no electrical or flow restriction on the drainage system.
