Nibco, Inc. Cap Wrot Copper 2-1/2" C 617 21/2

Nibco Wrot Copper Cap 2-1/2 Inch

This Nibco cap is a wrot copper tube fitting designed to permanently close a 2-1/2 inch copper line. It uses a C-type connection for sweat soldering onto tubing with a 2-5/8 inch outside diameter. The fitting meets ASME/ANSI B 16.22 standards for plumbing and piping systems.

Replaces Open Pipe Ends During Installation

Use this cap when terminating a copper water or gas line instead of leaving the pipe open. The jump is worth it when a permanent, pressure-tight seal rated for 336 psi at 100 degrees F is required across a temperature range of -20 to 400 degrees F. It is not for buyers needing a removable threaded closure or a fitting compatible with non-copper piping materials.
