Nibco, Inc. U607LT 90° Long Radius Elbow 1" Copper Trap
A copper 90-degree long-radius elbow fitting that joins 1-inch pipe in drainage systems
- Product typeDrain Components
- 90° long radius elbow eases flow direction changes
- 1 inch copper construction resists high temperature wear
- Durable copper material withstands repeated thermal cycling
- Nibco U607LT model ensures precise 90 degree bends
- Long radius design reduces turbulence in drain systems
Fitting for 1" copper systems
This Nibco U607LT elbow joins two lengths of 1" copper pipe at a right angle. The long-radius sweep reduces turbulence compared with short-radius alternatives. It suits plumbers and maintenance teams working on water, heating or cooling lines that use 1" copper tubing.
Upgrade from short-radius bends
Replace a short-radius elbow when flow noise or pressure drop is a concern. The gentler curve keeps velocity lower through the turn, which helps on longer runs or where multiple bends are stacked. The jump is worth it when system balance or quiet operation matters more than the tightest possible corner.
Capacity and headroom
The fitting handles the full pressure and temperature range of standard 1" copper tube in hot and cold water service. It runs out of headroom only when the design calls for a radius tighter than the long-radius profile allows, or when the pipe size changes away from 1".

Questions about this item
What tube size does the U607LT elbow accept for a 1" copper line?
The fitting is made for a 1 inch copper tube and has a 90 degree long-radius bend.
How is the elbow joined to the pipe, and what step is often missed?
It is soldered; the joint must be cleaned, fluxed and heated evenly so the solder flows completely around the cup.
What maintenance or replacement will the copper elbow need over time?
Copper resists corrosion, so the elbow rarely needs replacement unless it suffers mechanical damage or a leak develops at the solder joint.
