Wrot Copper Coupling for 5/8 Inch Tube
This Nibco coupling joins two 5/8 inch copper tubes using a C x C sweat connection. The wrot copper body includes a rolled tube stop to control insertion depth during assembly. It suits plumbing and HVAC installations that require a permanent, leak-free joint on 5/8 inch tubing. The fitting meets ASME/ANSI B16.22 dimensional and material requirements.
Pressure rated to 631 psi at 100 Degrees F
The coupling withstands temperatures from -20 Degrees to 400 Degrees F, covering typical hot water, steam and chilled water systems. Above 100 Degrees F the allowable pressure drops below the 631 psi rating, so designers must derate the joint for high-temperature service. The C x C connection requires soldering or brazing, which demands clean tube ends, flux and appropriate heat. Installers without soldering equipment or those needing a demountable joint should choose a different fitting type.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 5/8 inch C x C coupling or a different size?
Select the 5/8 inch size when joining two 5/8 inch copper tubes; the C x C connection fits standard copper pipe of that diameter.
What does the 631 psi at 100 Degrees F rating mean for my installation?
The coupling withstands up to 631 psi at 100 Degrees F, suitable for high-pressure water or refrigerant lines within the -20 to 400 Degrees F range.
