Compact 8x25 binocular for outdoor use

The Nikon 7277 Travelite VI is an 8x25 binocular designed for outdoor enthusiasts, sports spectators and city sightseers. Its compact rubber-armoured body weighs 1 lbs and measures 6.3" L x 5.6" W x 3" H. Multicoated optics and BaK4 high-index prisms deliver bright, high-resolution images. Aspherical lenses reduce field curvature for flat, high-contrast views with consistent edge-to-edge sharpness.

Sustained viewing comfort and close focus

The larger central focusing knob allows smooth, repeatable adjustments during extended glassing sessions. A click-type diopter ring locks precise eye-strength correction in place so the setting does not drift over time. Eco-Glass lenses and prisms contain no lead or arsenic, maintaining optical performance without ecological compromise. Close focus reaches 10', making the binocular suitable for near and mid-range observation alike.

Check tripod compatibility and carrying needs

Verify whether your existing tripod adapter fits the binocular's hinge configuration before ordering. Ensure your pack or pocket can accommodate the 6.3" length and 5.6" width for comfortable transport. Confirm that the 8x magnification and 25 mm objective diameter match the brightness and field-of-view requirements for your typical lighting conditions.

Questions about this item

Does the compact 6.3-inch body generate noticeable heat during all-day outdoor use?

No, the Travelite VI 8x25 is a passive optical device with no electronics or power draw, so it produces no heat during extended use.

What mounting accessories do I already need to attach these 7277 binoculars to a tripod?

The binoculars have no built-in tripod socket, so a separate binocular tripod adapter is required for tripod mounting.

Will the 10-foot close focus work well with my older spotting scope for near-distance viewing?

The 10-foot minimum focus lets you observe nearby details that many spotting scopes cannot reach, complementing longer-range optics.
