Ultra-wide DX zoom lens bundle

This new Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED lens kit includes a 3-piece filter set, lens cap keeper and cleaning kit. The zoom covers a 12-24mm focal range with a constant f/4 maximum aperture. It is designed for DX-format sensors and delivers an 18-36mm equivalent field of view. The bundle suits photographers who want a complete wide-angle package in one purchase.

Landscape and interior shooters

The constant f/4 aperture and ultra-wide perspective suit landscape, architectural and interior work where consistent exposure across the zoom range matters. Silent Wave Motor autofocus with full-time manual override supports both stills and video capture. Photographers who need a wider maximum aperture for low-light or shallow depth-of-field work should look at other options. Buyers using full-frame cameras will not receive the intended DX angle of view.

Constant f/4 maximum aperture

The fixed f/4 aperture maintains the same brightness from 12mm to 24mm, simplifying exposure control during zooming. Three aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations. Super Integrated Coating suppresses flare and ghosting in high-contrast scenes. This specification determines whether the lens matches a shooter’s need for consistent wide-angle performance.

Questions about this item

Will the 77mm filter threads on the 12-24mm lens need periodic cleaning or replacement?

The 77mm snap-on front cap protects the filter threads when not in use; the included cleaning kit lets you remove dust or smudges from the glass without damaging the coating.

What optical limit appears first when shooting wide-open at f/4 for extended periods?

The constant f/4 aperture maintains consistent exposure across the 12-24mm range, while three aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements keep chromatic aberration and distortion controlled.

How much heat or noise does the Silent Wave Motor generate during all-day video capture?

The Silent Wave Motor runs quietly with minimal heat, and full-time manual focus override stays responsive during long recording sessions.
