Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Zoom Lens camera lens

Versatile zoom for FX and DX cameras

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED covers a wide-angle to medium telephoto range suitable for landscapes, portraits and everyday shooting. On DX-format bodies the effective focal length becomes 36-105mm. A constant f/2.8 aperture maintains exposure throughout the zoom. It is built for photographers who need one lens for varied scenes.

Check your DSLR mount and focus motor needs

This lens uses the Nikon F mount and relies on the camera body for metering and aperture control. The built-in Silent Wave Motor drives autofocus on bodies that lack an in-body motor, such as the D40, D60, D80, D90 and D300. Verify that your camera supports AF-S lenses before ordering. The minimum focus distance is 14.9 inches.

Internal focus and Nano Crystal Coat change handling

Internal focusing keeps the lens length constant and preserves the working distance while focusing. Three ED elements and a PGM aspherical element reduce chromatic aberration. The exclusive Nano Crystal Coat cuts ghosting and flare for clearer images. A M/A focus mode switch allows instant manual override. Dust and moisture seals protect the mechanism in tough conditions.
