Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens 24.2MP 64GB Card Case Kit

Nikon D3400 DSLR Kit

The Nikon D3400 DSLR kit bundles a 24.2MP DX-format CMOS camera with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, a 64GB UHS-I SDXC U3 card, a padded carrying case, a USB card reader and a cleaning kit. It is aimed at beginners and casual photographers who want better image quality than a smartphone without a steep learning curve. SnapBridge Bluetooth connectivity lets you transfer photos to a mobile device for quick sharing.

Upgrade from phone or entry compact

This kit replaces a smartphone or basic compact camera when you need a larger sensor, optical zoom and manual control over exposure. The jump is worth it for anyone who regularly shoots in low light, wants shallow depth of field or requires faster continuous shooting at 5 fps. Buyers who need a second card slot, weather sealing or 4K video will not find those features here.

Sustained shooting and video

The EXPEED 4 processor maintains 5 fps continuous shooting for short bursts while the sensor’s native ISO 100-25600 range keeps noise controlled during longer sessions. Full HD 1080p video at 60 fps records without a recording-time limit imposed by the hardware, though the 11-point Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus system may hunt during extended moving-subject tracking. The included 64GB U3 card supports the sustained write speeds needed for both still bursts and video.
