Ready-to-shoot DSLR kit

A 24.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor without an optical low-pass filter pairs with the EXPEED 4 processor for a native ISO range of 100–25600. SnapBridge Bluetooth connects the camera to a smart device for quick image transfer.

Consistent output for long sessions

The 11-point Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus system maintains focus during 5 fps continuous shooting, while Full HD 1080p video at 60 fps records extended clips without overheating. A 1700 mAh ULTIMAXX replacement battery and travel charger support prolonged use, and the bundled 57-inch tripod plus 6.5-inch tabletop grip keep the camera steady for time-lapse or video work.

Step up from phone or compact

This kit replaces a smartphone or fixed-lens camera when you need interchangeable optics, larger sensor depth of field control and raw-file flexibility. The 55 mm filter set, slave flash, HDMI cable, card reader and cleaning tools cover common accessories so you can start shooting immediately. Buyers who require dual card slots, 4K video or weather sealing should consider a higher-tier body.

Questions about this item

Does the 24.2MP sensor and EXPEED 4 processor generate noticeable heat during long 1080p 60 fps video sessions?

The camera uses a 24.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor with EXPEED 4 processing for Full HD 1080p at 60 fps. Extended recording may warm the body, but no specific thermal limits or fan noise are published for this model.

What battery and memory card are required to start shooting immediately?

The bundle includes an ULTIMAXX 1700 mAh EN-EL14A replacement battery, travel charger, and a SanDisk 32GB Ultra card rated at 120 MB/s, so you can power on and record without extra purchases.

Will my older AF-D lenses autofocus on the D3500 body?

The D3500 lacks an in-body autofocus motor, so older AF-D lenses will only focus manually. The included AF-P 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens and other AF-P or AF-S lenses will autofocus normally.
