Versatile DX-Format DSLR

The Nikon D7500 pairs a 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor with the EXPEED 5 image processor to serve photographers and videographers who need a single camera for varied subjects. A 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus system with 15 cross-type points tracks moving targets. Native ISO reaches 51200 and extends to 1640000 for low-light flexibility.

Sustained Shooting Performance

The camera manages 8 fps continuous shooting for up to 100 consecutive JPEGs before the buffer fills, so extended bursts stay consistent rather than dropping after a few frames. The 180,000-pixel RGB sensor aids exposure and subject recognition during long sequences. 4K UHD video records at 3840 x 2160p at 30 fps without a crop, supporting lengthy clips.

Handling, Weather Sealing and Connectivity

A monocoque body is fully weather-sealed for harsh conditions while remaining comfortable for long sessions. The 3.2" 922k-dot tilting touchscreen LCD monitor simplifies composition from high or low angles. SnapBridge Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enable wireless transfer and remote control without cables.

Questions about this item

Does the EXPEED 5 processor make the D7500 run hot or drain the EN-EL15a battery quickly during all-day shooting?

The EXPEED 5 processor and 20.9MP CMOS sensor are designed for efficient performance. The included EN-EL15a rechargeable Li-ion battery and MH-25A charger support extended shooting sessions without excessive heat buildup.

Which lenses and memory cards must I already own to use this body-only D7500?

You need Nikon F-mount DX or FX lenses and an SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card. The body-only package includes the EN-EL15a battery, MH-25A charger, UC-E20 USB cable, strap, eyepiece cap, rubber eyecup, and body cap.

Will my older AF-D lenses autofocus and meter correctly on the D7500?

AF-D lenses mount and meter on the D7500, but they will not autofocus because the body lacks a built-in focus motor. Manual focus is available with electronic rangefinder confirmation. The 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II AF system works with AF-S and AF-P lenses.
