Camera and kit purpose

The Nikon D7500 is a DX-format DSLR built for enthusiasts who want high image quality and speed in a rugged body. It suits photographers and videographers moving beyond entry-level gear. It is not for buyers who need a full-frame sensor or dual card slots.

Bundled lenses and storage

The kit adds an 18-55mm VR zoom for everyday range and a 500mm lens for distant subjects. A 16GB card is included so you can start shooting immediately. The extra glass extends creative options without extra purchases.

Capacity and headroom

The 20.9MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 processor deliver 8 fps continuous shooting for up to 100 JPEGs. Native ISO reaches 51,200 and expands to 1,640,000 for low-light work. 4K UHD video and time-lapse recording are supported. The 51-point autofocus with 15 cross-type points tracks moving subjects reliably. The 3.2-inch tilting LCD touch screen aids composition. The 16GB card will fill quickly during 4K video or long bursts.

Questions about this item

How often will the 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus system need recalibration?

The 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus system with 15 cross-type points is factory calibrated and does not require scheduled recalibration under normal use.

What limits continuous shooting at 8 fps beyond the 100 JPEG buffer?

The buffer fills after 100 consecutive JPEGs at 8 fps, pausing the burst until images write to the memory card.

How hot does the EXPEED 5 processor get during extended 4K UHD video recording?

The camera body dissipates heat passively; the tilting 3.2-inch 922K-dot LCD touch screen remains usable during long 4K UHD sessions.
