Wide-range DX zoom lens

The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR covers a 5.8x zoom range from wide-angle to short telephoto on DX-format cameras. It mounts on the Nikon F bayonet and accepts 67 mm screw-on filters. The lens is built with 15 elements in 11 groups and uses an internal focusing system driven by a Silent Wave Motor.

Vibration Reduction and optical corrections

Nikon VR image stabilisation allows handheld shooting at shutter speeds slower than normal. One ED glass element and one aspherical element work with Super Integrated Coating to reduce coma, flare and other aberrations. A rounded 7-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth background rendering.
