FX-format SLR for serious shooters
The Nikon D750 is a full-frame digital SLR camera body built around a 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor. It captures up to 6.5 frames per second at full resolution. The 51-point autofocus system uses 15 cross-type sensors alongside 3D Color Matrix Metering III driven by a 91,000-pixel RGB sensor. Built-in Wi-Fi allows remote monitoring from a compatible smart device.
1080p video limits and monitoring
Full HD recording is limited to 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 frames per second with no higher resolution mode available. The camera can simultaneously record uncompressed and compressed footage while offering manual control over ISO, shutter speed and aperture during recording. Power Aperture control provides smooth iris transitions and Auto ISO enables smooth exposure transitions. A 3.2-inch 1,229k-dot tilting Vari-angle LCD assists composition from difficult angles.
Upgrading from cropped sensors
Moving to this FX body replaces a DX-format camera to gain the full-frame field of view and the 51-point AF system shared with the D4S and D810. The jump is worthwhile for photographers who need 24.3 megapixel resolution, 6.5 fps speed and the pro video feature set including time-lapse sequences up to 9,999 shots in-camera. It is not suited for buyers who require 4K video capture or higher continuous shooting rates.
