  • Genuine Nikon accessory built to manufacturer specifications for reliable power delivery

Power Supply Connector for Select Nikon Cameras

The Nikon EP-5E connects compatible digital cameras to the EH-5B AC adapter for continuous mains power. It supports the Nikon 1 J4 and Nikon 1 S2 models. This accessory replaces battery use during extended studio sessions or fixed-location shooting. It is designed solely for cameras that accept the EP-5E connector.

Not for Cameras Outside the Compatibility List

The connector will not function with Nikon models that require a different power coupler or use only internal batteries. Buyers needing power for unsupported cameras must seek the correct dedicated coupler. It also does not replace the AC adapter itself, which must be purchased separately. Verify your camera model before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the EP-5E connector draw any power or generate heat when the camera is left on all day?

The EP-5E is a passive connector that simply routes power from the EH-5b AC adapter to the camera; it draws no power itself and produces no heat.

Which separate AC adapter must I already own for the EP-5E to power my Nikon 1 J4?

You need the Nikon EH-5b AC adapter; the EP-5E connector plugs into the camera's battery chamber and connects to that adapter.
