Compact DSLR for beginners and enthusiasts

The Nikon D3500 is a lightweight DX-format DSLR built around a 24.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 4 processor. It captures high-resolution stills and records Full HD 1080p video at 60 frames per second with a built-in monaural microphone. ISO sensitivity reaches 25600 for low-light work, and vibration reduction helps minimise camera shake.

Suited to first-time DSLR owners and casual shooters

This body suits photographers who want interchangeable-lens flexibility without the bulk of larger DSLRs. SnapBridge with Bluetooth Low Energy provides simple wireless transfer to a smart device after a one-time setup. Buyers who need dual card slots, weather sealing, 4K video or advanced autofocus tracking should consider other models.

Body-only package with wireless sharing built in

No lens, battery or charger are included in this body-only configuration. The integrated SnapBridge system and BLE connectivity let you back up images to Nikon Image Space and share to up to five paired devices without extra accessories. A compatible DX or FX lens, memory card and power source must be purchased separately to begin shooting.
