DX-format DSLR kit for creators

The Nikon D7500 kit pairs a 20.9MP DX-format DSLR body with an 18-140mm VR lens and a 32GB accessory bundle. It targets photographers and videographers who want a single versatile package for multimedia work. The camera uses a CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image processor to deliver high-resolution stills and 4K UHD video.

Continuous shooting and ISO limits

The camera shoots at 8 fps for up to 100 consecutive JPEGs, which caps extended burst sessions. Native ISO reaches 51,200 and expands to 1,640,000, though image quality at the highest expansion settings will degrade. The 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus system includes 15 cross-type points for tracking in varied light.

Upgrading from entry-level DX bodies

This kit replaces basic crop-sensor cameras that lack 4K video, a tilting touchscreen, or fast 8 fps bursts. The jump is worthwhile when you need the 51-point AF system, expanded ISO range, and 4K UHD recording for serious creative projects. It is not suited for buyers who require full-frame sensor dimensions or dual card slots.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 18-140mm kit lens or buy the body only for my D7500?

The 18-140mm VR lens covers wide-angle to telephoto in one unit, saving lens changes. Buying the body alone only makes sense if you already own compatible DX lenses.

What does the 20.9MP sensor actually deliver in daily shooting?

The 20.9MP DX sensor paired with EXPEED 5 yields 8 fps bursts for up to 100 JPEGs, native ISO 51,200 expandable to 1,640,000, and 4K UHD video with clean detail.

Does the 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus limit lens choices?

The 51-point system with 15 cross-type points works with all AF-S and AF-P DX/FX lenses. Screw-drive AF lenses will not autofocus on the D7500 body.
