360-degree 4K camera kit

The Nikon KeyMission 360 captures omnidirectional 360-degree video in 4K UHD at 24p. It is built for creators who need a single wearable device to record everything around them without pointing a lens. The rugged body is waterproof to 30 metres, shockproof to 2 metres and freezeproof to minus 10 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for underwater, action and cold-weather use.

SnapBridge app and PC utility

The bundled SnapBridge 360/170 smartphone app and KeyMission 360/170 PC utility handle automatic image transfer and stitching. They also unlock shooting modes such as Super lapse video, loop video and time-lapse video. These tools turn raw dual-lens footage into viewable spherical files and enable quick sharing to a head-mounted display for virtual-reality playback.

Simple mount-and-shoot setup

The camera powers on and begins recording with a single button, while Wi-Fi pairing to the SnapBridge app is initiated from the phone. Common issues include stitching artefacts at the seam between the two lenses and occasional Wi-Fi dropouts during long transfers. Firmware updates via the PC utility resolve most connectivity problems.

Questions about this item

How long does the waterproof seal stay reliable before it needs checking?

The camera is rated waterproof to 30 m and impact resistant to 2 m; inspect the seals after any heavy knock or deep dive and replace them if they show wear.

What stops a continuous 4K 24p recording first?

The internal battery runs out before the card fills, so recording time is limited by charge capacity.

Does the body get hot or noisy during all-day time-lapse shooting?

There are no moving parts or fans, so the camera stays silent and only warms slightly during extended capture.
