Dedicated D750 Battery Grip
The Nikon MB-D16 attaches to the D750 DSLR to provide a vertical shooting grip and extended power. It accepts one extra EN-EL15 lithium-ion pack or six AA cells using the supplied MS-D14 holder. Portrait-orientation controls include a second shutter button, AE/AF lock, multi selector and both command dials.
Power Options and Handling
Two power choices let you match the shoot: a single EN-EL15 for familiar lithium-ion runtime or six AA alkaline, Ni-MH or lithium cells for wide availability. The grip adds balanced weight and a contoured shape that improves comfort during long sessions. No internal charging circuit is present; batteries are charged separately.
Sustained Shooting Performance
Under continuous use the second EN-EL15 effectively doubles the frame count compared with the camera body alone. AA cells deliver fewer frames per set but can be swapped quickly in the field. The duplicate controls maintain identical response whether shooting horizontally or vertically for extended periods.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the MB-D16 to my D750 and which step is often missed?
Remove the camera's battery-chamber cover, store it in the grip's built-in holder, then slide the grip onto the base and tighten the locking wheel until it clicks; the step most often missed is inserting the MS-D14 AA holder or an EN-EL15 battery before locking the grip in place.
What will need replacement after extended use of the MB-D16?
The EN-EL15 rechargeable lithium-ion battery or the six AA cells (alkaline, Ni-MH or lithium) will eventually lose capacity and require replacement; the MS-D14 AA battery holder itself is durable but should be inspected for corroded contacts.
What limits continuous shooting with the MB-D16 during a long session?
The EN-EL15 or AA batteries deplete first, ending power to the shutter release, AE/AF lock, multi selector and command dials; swapping in a fresh EN-EL15 or new AA set restores operation immediately.
