Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ Lens

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ is a full-frame zoom lens with a constant f/4 aperture and built-in power zoom. It covers a versatile 28-135mm focal range and uses a stepping motor for quiet, precise autofocus. The internal zoom mechanism keeps the lens length constant during operation. This bundle includes the lens plus a 95mm filter kit, cleaning tools and a blower.

Suited for video professionals needing smooth zoom

Videographers shooting corporate, documentary, wedding or live-event work will benefit from the power zoom lever, eleven selectable speeds and remote operation via NX Tether, SnapBridge or NX Field apps. The programmable control ring and L-Fn buttons add custom handling. Photographers who only need stills-focused zooms or who require wider maximum apertures for low-light primes should consider other options.

Constant f/4 aperture across 28-135mm

The f/4 maximum aperture holds throughout the zoom range, providing consistent exposure while zooming. Minimum focusing distance is 13.4 inches, allowing close-up detail at wide angles. At 135mm the reach suits portraits and compressed perspectives, while 28mm covers environmental establishing shots. The Meso Amorphous Coating reduces flare and ghosting in high-contrast scenes.

Questions about this item

What camera mount does the 28-135mm f/4 PZ lens require to operate?

The lens uses the Nikon Z mount and is designed for full-frame FX-format cameras.

Can the 95mm filters in the bundle be used on older Nikkor lenses with different thread sizes?

The 95mm filters fit this lens directly; older lenses need their own matching thread size or a step-up ring.

How do I verify the power zoom is functioning correctly after attaching the lens?

Engage the zoom lever and confirm smooth, constant-speed focal-length changes from 28mm to 135mm across the eleven selectable speeds.
