Flagship flash with radio control

The Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight adds 2.4 GHz radio triggering to the Creative Lighting System, allowing off-camera control of up to six groups at 98 feet without line of sight. It remains compatible with optical triggering for mixed setups with older units. The bundle includes the flash, four AA batteries, a charger and a cleaning kit. Condition is new.

Guide number 113 and cooling system

At ISO 100 the guide number reaches 113 feet at 35 mm and 180 feet at 200 mm, giving strong output for on-location or studio work. A built-in cooling system supports over 100 consecutive full-power flashes without overheating. Manual power ranges from 1/1 to 1/256 and recycle time is 1.82 seconds on AA cells.

Upgrade from optical-only units

Photographers moving from flashes limited to infrared or visible-light triggering gain reliable radio control at distance and around obstacles. The cooling system removes the overheating ceiling that interrupts long sequences. Buyers who need TTL support for camera systems outside the Nikon i-TTL ecosystem cannot use the dedicated wireless functions.
